Grandparent's Day

The significance of grandparents in a child’s life cannot be overstated, and their influence lives on for generations.  Proverbs 17:6 says, “Grandchildren are the crown of old men, and the glory of sons is their fathers.”  Deuteronomy 4:9 gives this powerful command–“Only give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your sons and your grandsons.”

One way that Trinity Christian School values these relationships is through our annual Grandparents’ Day in the elementary school. Each year, TCS celebrates Grandparents Day one Friday during December, recognizing and honoring our students' grandparents and hosting them at the school. Grandparents enjoy an early breakfast and then a visit to the the classroom of their grandchildren. They are able to enjoy the Book Fair with their grandchildren and then view the annual Christmas Program.  This is a great opportunity for both the grandparents and the grandchildren!
